About Silver Creek

A Family Friendly Course Since 1994

The Silver Creek Golf Club has been proudly owned by Norm Sharman since 1994. The Sharman family has a history rich in golf tradition. Norm’s father, Graham was the owner of the Big Oak Golf Club in Geneva, since the 1970’s which is now owned and operated by Norm’s brother Dave. The Sharman family has worked diligently to make Silver Creek a fun place to enjoy quality golf in the Finger Lakes.

The family atmosphere at Silver Creek is what makes this track special and a friendly welcome at the front desk is just the beginning. Located in Waterloo, the course is blessed with charm and character. Silver Creek welcomes you in a friendly manner with an open yet challenging front nine. Whatever club is employed off the tee, a short iron will suffice for the second shot. The front nine is 10 years younger than the back and while it can be a bit more forgiving, don’t be fooled. The trip out is no pushover.

As you finish the front nine, you may want to swing by the Dungeon Lounge for a refreshment, in preparation for the challenging journey on holes 10 through 18. This back nine is the elder of the two and considered among the toughest nine holes of golf in the Finger Lakes. While the gorgeous scenery, mature landscape and a tranquil creek may keep you relaxed, you’d better pay close attention because an errant tee shot can change the outlook quickly.  Water comes into play on 7 of the 9 holes and the trees have matured to form narrower fairways. Rolling hills and slopes can cause interesting lies. However, no matter how you score on this return in, we know you’ll enjoy the ride around this exciting track.

While enjoying your round, you’ll find refreshment at “The Shack,” which is located near the 4th and 12th tees.  At “The Shack” you’ll find service with a smile and some of the best burgers and dogs in the Finger Lakes.
